The reason behind the start of Deborah's House.

Hello Everyone and welcome to our very first blog post! I am so glad you made it here wherever or however you got here and I am excited to share this journey with you all!

Why I started Deborah's House

I became a licensed therapist when I realized that women felt comfortable and safe with sharing the sacred areas of their hearts with me. Often times women are abandoned and feel alone. Life Changes such as divorce, death, empty nest, you name it! Whatever your situation is there is help in this journey and that is where I come in to help you find peace and joy in the journey is my desire. When life is in chaos there is a place to stand on solid ground. I am committed to help you in your journey to support you and offer my guidance. There is no shortcuts in this lifetime we must walk through it.

I do not claim to have all the answers but I do know the one who does! I am a Christ follower who relies upon Christ to help in the journey. The past 28 years of my own life He has proven Himself faithful and true. If He has gotten me through my crazy life He will help you through yours. I have made it through some deep dark valleys with many twists and turns, to now find myself on the mountain top loving and enjoying life everyday. I’m here to tell you, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Sorrow and suffering are a part of the journey to find acceptance with joy. We need to be encouraged when all we see is the storm. I am here to let you know that, you are not alone. I can’t fix your situation but I can turn on the light so you can see your way out. It is your job to walk and sometimes crawl, until one day you are running your race, That is my goal. We only get one time through this life lets live it out loud! We were not meant to survive we are meant to overcome. I can see an army of woman linking arms together. No longer pushed down and oppressed from the wounds of our past. I see beautiful, radiant, confident ones finding identity and purpose. He takes our broken and makes us beautiful. We each have our story to tell and I look forward to hearing yours and honored to be invited in.

Often times a women is left to figure out how they are going to survive the turmoil in their life and It can be mentally and or financially straining on an already difficult situation. I created Deborah’s House as a non-profit to help women who cannot afford counseling. I do require that they give back at some point. "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." 2 Corinthians 9:6.

I am looking forward to this journey and meeting whoever may fall onto my path here at Deborah's House and we welcome you and your story with open arms!
