Bitterness has a sound

There is a sound or a tone to words that come from a well of bitterness.

Out of the heart a man speaks. Matthew 12:32

Have you ever sat with someone and heard the sharpness that comes from their mouth? There is an impatience of people with negative talk. I believe as I watch people grow that hopefully they are reducing the negative as they draw closer to the God of the positive. I'm pretty sure Jesus had zero negative conversation. I personally find it very hard to be around people who carry a negative tone. I actually feel uncomfortable in my gut and want to exit the conversation quickily. I have come to a place as I am older that I truly dont have the space in my heart to entertain negativity. Unless I'm helping my sister through her journey with love and grace and a few hard kicks in the ass.

Negative sarcastic words often come from a well of BITTERNESS. If we are to give account of every word spoken, do you think its the actual cuss word itself, or actually the intent of our words spoken. Words spoken to control and manipulate. Words spoken to tare down. Are our words pure and real? Are our word building and edifying or are they filled with critism and bitterness. God sees the intent of the heart. He sees the fears, judgements, hardness, and self serving. We can see by a mans actions the condition of his heart. Love is pure and beautiful. .

Lets look at the heart of man from a perspective of it being a river. Water comes down from heaven filled with all good things. When the heart is pure we pour out to those around us living waters of kindness and love and every good thing. When the heart is polluted with offence and bitterness we pour out negative tones and words. If the river is blocked up with broken unresolved wounds the flow and purity of the water is not there. Ask God to show you the condition of your heart.

Seek Him! The God of the universe says that He will be found by us when we seek Him with all of our hearts. In Jeremiah 29:11-14 11) for I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says ther Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12) Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13) And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14) I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity.

We need to desperatly seek Him! The God of the universe wants to show Himself to us! He wants to hang with us! He wants to take down the walls and fortresses that we have erected to keep ourselves safe. Wall of protection from the cruelty of this world. Walls that are actually keeping our wounds from being healed. Behind these walls are spirits of offense, bitterness and unforgiveness. We want to invite Him into the secret place of our heart and surrender to His healing power. He has torn down my walls that I did not know existed. In His kindness He came and liberated my heart and I can say I am free with fresh living water coming from my heart.

If you have gone through life and have never done any deep healing I want to encourage you to reach out to me. We can just talk. I know the heart of man is sacred ground and I will honor it as such. It takes courage to open the door but what do you have to lose? Freedom is like pulling back the curtains and letting the sunshine in. Opening up the windows and letting the breathe of heaven blow in. Don't you want living water to pour purely from your heart?

Pure freedom full of love, joy, and peace! Jesus stands at the door of your heart knocking, will you let Him in?
